FAQ

Q: I am experiencing poor link quality?
A: Low link quality or range can be caused by environmental interference, such as lead-based paint and concrete walls. Try to move the antenna of the Wireless MAXg Router or to reposition the wireless clients to improve the link quality. Some electronic devices, such as 2.4Ghz phones and microwave ovens, may interfere with the wireless signal and affect your wireless range and link quality. Try creating a wireless connection on a different channel.

Q: Which security encryption is supported?
A: The default encryptions supported in V Class with Internal Wireless are MD5, PAP, and TLS. For advanced encryption protocols in WPA2, the required WPA-2 network broker like Juniper Odyssey client is required on CE and XPe. Wyse Linux uses WPA2 supplicant which provides supports WEP40, 128-bit, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA2-PSK (AES-CCMP) as well as the MS-CHAP-v2.

Q: Who is the chipset vendor for the Wyse USB WLAN Adapter?
A: The wireless module is provided by VIA Networking Technology.

Q: Where can my customer download the supported Juniper Odyssey client?
A: Juniper Network's Odyssey Access Client is enterprise-class 802.1X access client software with full support for advanced WLAN security protocols that you require for wireless access to your LAN. Wyse provides the demo client via Wyse Add-on format and is available for download.
